Holi, one of the most traditional festivals of India, was celebrated on Sunday with great fervour in Paris in a huge event organized by GOPIO France Paris and Le Jardin d'Acclimatation.
Around 25000 visitors, both French and Indian, shared this great moment of happiness with colours in a spirit of love, friendship and brotherhood. Many people got a good glimpse of the rich and diverse cultures of India.
A mix of Bollywood dances, bhangra and Rajasthani traditional music were performed by the different groups of the Indian diaspora.
The Artonic group with the show "Color of Time" added another taste to this event.
Holi is a wonderful celebration to bring the people of different background together and generate positive energies. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring. It's celebrated by people both young and old.
With this smashing success, GOPIO France Paris is looking forward to make this event an annual rendezvous for the French and Indians in Paris.
This event got the full support of the Embassy of India in Paris and Manish Prabhat, Deputy Chief of Mission, honored the event with his family.
